Who We Are
Instruments 4 Kids® Charity is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2021 by Rick Sanford and the talent team at A Blast Bands and DJs®/The Blast Band®. We have been serving the Southeast United States for over 25 years and we decided that it was time to give back to the community by serving those less fortunate.
What We Do
We provide musical instruments (electric keyboards and guitars) plus lessons for free to homeless./underprivileged children living in shelters around metro Atlanta.
Our expert teachers offer the kids introductory lessons covering the fundamentals of each instrument. Each child gets their own instrument as well as access to instruments located at the shelters we serve.
Together, we can make a lifetime impact on these deserving children.
Why We Do This
We love to serve the children because it’s a transformational experience for them! Scientific studies have shown that exposure to music instruction accelerates children’s brain development in the areas responsible for language development, sound, reading, and speech perception just to name a few… plus it’s fun!!
